BENEFITING: ORGANIZATION FOR AUTISM RESEARCH
ORGANIZER: ORGANIZATION FOR AUTISM RESEARCH
In 2012 my son was diagnosed with Autism. This diagnosis was not the end, but instead a new beginning. With the diagnosis many prayers were answered and we were able to help him become who he is today because of research and therapy.
Autism is the fastest growing developmental disability in the United States. Autism has such a broad spectrum with the number growing substantially. Each individual experiences the diagnosis differently and it is unique to the individual. There is no medical cure for autism and autism is the fastest growing developmental disability. More kids will be diagnosed this year than pediatric AIDS, diabetes and cancer combined.
1 in 88 children has an autism spectrum while the number is 1 in 54 for boys. New estimates suggest that 1 in 50 children have an autism spectrum now. Autism is 4 times more prevalent in boys than it is in girls. Families spend an average of $60,000 each year on autism treatment and therapies. Because the number of children being diagnosed with autism is rising at an exponential rate, it is even more important to help fund research. Research is the only way we will be able to find out what causes autism and how to prevent it. Every dollar counts.
I am asking you to please help donate to my cause to help not just my son, but every single child that has autism or will be diagnosed with autism in the future. Thank you for your support and God Bless.
