BENEFITING: ORGANIZATION FOR AUTISM RESEARCH
ORGANIZER: ORGANIZATION FOR AUTISM RESEARCH
I am running with the RUN FOR AUTISM on July 23rd in Long Island Tough Mudder. Aside from training over the next six months I have decided to turn my early morning workouts and long runs into something really meaningful. I am contacting you to help me raise money for Autism research.
The wonderful world of Autism found me and ever since then I am forever grateful for meeting the families, and even more, the clients that I have worked with. They say that if you find a job you love that you will never work a day in your life, and for the past 7 years I have found that to be so true. Autism can be scary for many because it’s something that even as professionals we are still learning about it. However, when you see a beautiful little boy's eyes light up from excitement because he just mastered how to tie his shoes, his joy cannot be anything short of contagious, and that is why I love my job. Children and even adults with Autism teach you so much about the world around us and how we sometimes take the little things for granted. Seeing the world from their point of view has taught me to treat everyone I come in contact with kindness and compassion.
I am dedicating this run to all the amazing families and friends that I have worked with and had the honor to know in the past. I am asking for your support. All proceeds will go to the Organization for Autism Research, a national non-profit organization that funds research and offers resources for individuals diagnosed with autism and their families.
Please consider sponsoring me in the RUN FOR AUTISM.
