Orphan Outreach, El Salvador
Organized by: Kayla Giunta
EVENT DATE Jun 01, 2016
This summer I will be traveling to El Salvador on a seven day mission trip organized by HIS HANDS HIS FEET. While there, our group we will be building a home for a deserving family, visiting orphanages, and spreading the love of Jesus. I personally felt called to this trip to help the children and adults with special needs and few resources to meet them. My goal as an occupational therapist is to help meet as many of their needs as possible by providing and building adaptive equipment and educating them on ways to cope and manage their disabilities to support daily function and increase life satisfaction.
As a recent graduate from USC's Occupational Scienc and Occupational Therapy master's program, I am low on personal funds to pay for the trip and materials out of pocket. I would deeply appreciate any support for this upcoming trip, whether it is through prayer, advice or a financial gift. The trip costs a total of $2,100 and I am required to raise half of this money by May 1st and the other half by June 1st. This will cover travel fees, meals, and a donation to the orphanages of El Salvador. I am working to raise money myself and organizing a fundraiser at a pediatric occupational therapy clinic to purchase materials/medical devices and asking for donations.
Your donation can help underserved children and adults with disabilities to receive necessary medical equipment, education and a better life, as well as help spread the Word of Jesus throughout a community who may have no other opportunity to hear it!
If you are feeling called to join my support team, you can make a donation directly through this site. You can also donate online through www.allblessingswest.blogspot.com. If you choose to do so, please designate which team member your contribution will be going to. You can also continue to look at this website, the team blog, for updates on my trip to El Salvador and find out more information about the program.
Thank you so much for your support and I cannot wait to tell you about how God works through our team this upcoming summer!
