Help rescue women who have fallen victim of human sex trafficking in one of the nation's highest trafficked areas. The average age of these victims are 13 years old. A minor involved in sex trafficking lives an average life span of 7-10 years once they start. Through prayer and by taking action we can help erradicate this epidemic one step at a time!
The Freedom Walk 5K is an event that The Genesis Project puts on annually to raise funds and awareness about the issue of sex trafficking in the greater Puget Sound area. Though many are aware of the issue of human trafficking internationally, we strive to bring hope and awareness to the fact that human trafficking exists here in our own country and community. The sole purpose of the Freedom Walk is to do just that, bring awareness to the issue, raise funds to rescue, and bring full restoration to as many young girls and women who have fallen victim to sex trafficking as possible.
On July 19, 2014 at 10am, the event will take place at The Corridor, (2819 S. 208th St. SeaTac) where you will journey “In Her Shoes” as we walk 3.1 miles of the Pacific Highway in SeaTac, which is the same street that many girls and women work off of. Each participant of the 5K will be taken step by step through the experiences of one of the girls that we have seen restored. We strongly encourage Registrants to "Set Up a Fundraiser" and gain pledges from their family, friends, coworkers, and church congregations to raise money for The Genesis Project and our program! Be sure to register for the event here on Crowdrise!
