OSU SEAoO and ASCE Habitat for Humanity Trip
Organized by: SEAoO and ASCE Ohio State
Many people think engineers only sit at their desks all day designing and making calculations. Sure, we enjoy this side of our majors, but we also like giving back to the community. The Ohio State chapters of the Structural Engineers Association of Ohio and American Society of Civil Engineers are teaming up this winter to do exactly that. We have been accepted to travel down to Florida this Winter Break to apply our construction skills on a Habitat for Humanity project. This will be a great opportunity for us to see first hand how the tools we learn in class can be used for the greater good. However, we still need to fund some of the cost. Any dollar amount is appreciated, and it will all go towards helping those families that need housing and benefit Habitat for Humanity.
