BENEFITING: American Foundation for Suicide Prevention
EVENT DATE: Oct 01, 2016
During the Summer of 2015 Sam Ferland and I raised a little over $500 for the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention. The money raised is to invest in new research, create educational programs, advocate for public policy, and support survivors of suicide loss. This year The Walk Out of the Darkness takes place in Nashua on October 1st rather than Boston! The walk is at Mines Falls, If you don't have the money help raise awareness lend your time for just one Saturday on October 1st! It was a very humbling experience for an amazing cause which has very low funding and low attention! Suicide takes the lives of over 38,000 Americans each year and is the third leading cause of death in the world. Help raise money to make a difference! Help save a life, and spread awareness! No one should have to walk alone. AFSP has been able to set a goal to reduce the annual suicide rate 20% by 2025 so lets take initiative!
