Bonus challenge week 4 begins tomorrow afternoon!!
June 06, 2016
We will meet the needs of those we serve through Equine Assisted Psychotherapy; Personal Growth and Learning Programs; Thoroughbred Rehabilitation; and Mental Health Treatment in our community. Each program will have a distinct purpose, yet they will not be mutually exclusive and when combined, will create a synergy making each more effective.
A veteran dies as the result of suicide every 65 minutes in the United States.
Nationally, a case of child abuse is reported every 10 seconds
Over 10,000 horses are sent to slaughter every year because they no longer have promising careers at the racetrack.
Out Side In connects people struggling to heal from mental or emotional trauma with horses who have been rehabilitated and trained as therapy horses.
Out Side In is an equine-assisted psychotherapy facility located in Grand Haven, MIchigan, providing programs to assist families and veterans who are struggling with the affects of trauma, abuse, anxiety and depression. What sets Out Side In apart from similar facilities is treatment is provided by licensed master's level providers using rescued "off the track" thoroughbred horses destined for slaughter. Equine assisted psychotherapy has been proven highly successful, particularly in those described as treatment resistant and where other avenues of therapy have been exhausted.
As a not-for-profit organization, no person is turned away due to their inability to pay. Your gift will help ensure every family and veteran has a place to turn to heal and find peace.
Tax-Deductable donations to Out Side In, Inc (OSI) through the Art Van Charity Challenge will directly support clients and therapy horse care. Watch in the coming weeks for stories about rescued horses, veterans from the Heroes for Horses program and families in West Michigan who's lives have been changed forever...and we promise, these stories will be life-changing for you as well.
