Synergistic healing for both human and horse. Letting go of feelings of anxiety, depression, fear, and hopelessness and opening the door to confidence, compassion, empowerment, and trust. This is the purpose of Out Side In Stables in Grand Haven, MI.
Out Side In's programs led by licensed master's providers using Equine Psychotherapy have helped over 500 individuals begin their life again. Both families and individuals have been given the tools they need to overcome the trauma related to grief, loss or physical and sexual abuse.
A truly unique Horses for Heroes program has successfully treated veterans suffering from Post Traumatic Stress Disorder related to miliary combat.
Completing the full circle are the thoroughbred racehorses that are rescued from slaughter and are rehabilitated, retrained, and repurposed into trusting, faithful companions.
Healing both humans and horses is not without cost. As a not for profit organization, no person is turned away due to their inability to pay. Out Side In strives to provide their services to anyone in the community in need. The horses that are rescued from the race tracks are often injured and have special needs during their transition. Day to day care and veterinary treatment for horses can be very costly.
Please consider donating any amount large or small. The tax deductible donations to the Out Side In, INC through the Art Van Charity Challenge will directly support clients and therapy horse care. Whether your passion is to heal children, grief stricken families, veterans that have protected our freedom, or horses your gift will change the lives of all.
