On June 30 and July 1, founders Bruce Main and Jim Cummings will be joined by UrbanPromise International and UrbanTrekkers staff and supporters to paddle 45-foot OC6 outrigger canoes down the Delaware River to ensure that children and youth across the globe have access to safe, nurturing spaces, and exciting eduational opportunities. Funding for UrbanPromise International (UPI) supports kids in Malawi and Uganda, ensuring they will have the opportunity to attend summer camp. Funding for UrbanTrekkers supports experiential learning for Camden 120+ youth each year.
The 50-mile paddle starts in Trenton, NJ and spans for two days, with a finish in Wilmington, DE. The Philadelphia Outrigger Canoe Club, Philadelphia Dragon Boat Association, Philly Police Boat Team, and Philadelphia Flying Phoenix Dragon Boat Team will partner with UrbanPromise to provide boats and expertise for the event.

START & FINISH LOCATION:
Day 1: We'll launch from Trenton's Ross Marine at 8:30 AM and will finish at Wiggins Marina in Camden with lunch at 1:30 PM.
Day 2: We'll launch from Wiggins Marina at 8:30 AM in Camden and will finish at Wilmington Youth Rowing Association at 1:30 PM with an awards dinner and celebration!
Urban Promise will provide all logistical support and transport of paddlers to and from the launching and take out sites. All paddlers can leave their cars at UrbanPromise in Camden and then take the bus to the launch site.
