THE STORY:

My angel mother, who gave her life to family and her children and sacrificed everything to provide for us four kids, now is in need of our help. After 34 years of marriage, sadly the marriage ended due to unfortunate circumstances that will remain untold to public eye in respect to both individuals, but it left our mother destitute. She does not have a way to provide for herself beyond cleaning houses at age 65 years old. We try to give money but she doesn't want to be a burden to anyone and it's not enough to change her state of being. This also explains that resistance to go on welfare as that would add to the taxpayer load as well. We thought we'd try out this crowdfunding idea in hopes to do two things: 1) to get her out of her current living situation (picture a 5'4" Californian white lady living alone in bad part of town who would probably invite a man wearing a ski mask inside for tea and cookies), 2) pay off divorce debt she got left with, 3) buy her clothes so she can stop wearing my jeans (I'm a guy) from high school over 10 years ago, and 4) make up the money she should have gotten from her husband. This next part, we will foot the bill for (thanks to frequent flyer miles since we live in VA, and she's in CA): but we think it would be great if we could commence this new life by fulfilling a life-long dream of hers by flying her to Hawaii, symbolic of the beginning of her new life. It will be there that we will present this check from all the anonymous supporters she has because they love her and believe in her. That way she has to accept it because it's not my money and she won't know who to give it back to. That. Would. Be. Perfect. And we four kids would be eternally grateful. Thank you in advance. Breakdown of Goal (why we asked for this amount): Rent for 1 year: 1200 x 12 = $14,400 Divorce debt remaining:$ 3,500 New wardrobe: $2,000 What she should have gotten from ex-husband: $20,000 (instead of 4k) Total: 39,900 Thanks for reading.
