Over ten months ago, due to flooding, 20 million people in Pakistan had been left displaced - their homes were wrecked, their crops were destroyed, and their family members were missing, or worse, dead. Not only that, but terrible diseases had begun to spread, which lead to thousands of even more deaths. The world had been slow to respond to these people’s agony and distress. The commitment per person was only $3.00, whereas in Haiti, it was $475.00 per person. The devastation had exceeded that of the Haiti Quake, the Tsunami, and the Pakistan Quake - COMBINED. These people’s troubles have not been eased in the past months. Pakistan is still trying to recover from the earthquake of 2005, with many of those victims still homeless- these victims from the flooding are still on the back-burner, not receiving the aid they deserve! I know we all have our own troubles and worries, especially with the economic state of the world at the moment, but if you all could donate even a dollar, it would sincerely go a long, long way.
