We wanted to give all the coaches, parents and players a heads up about our scoreboard. Our scoreboard and our table console are original equipment that came when the Palumbo gym was built in 1978. That's well before many of you were born, I'm sure.
We have been experiencing "glitches" with our scoreboard all season. At first, the "0" and "1" on the visitor's side would blink or skip. Recently, the "8" on the home side looked like a "9". Elizabeth would remind the home coach that the score is really 18 not 19 or 28 not 29 and so on.
Our parents and spectators have been very patient with the scoreboard and us all season. We thank you for that.
However, our latest "glitch" is a bit more serious. The horn is stuck on. That's hard to ignore or overlook.
So, we've been forced to "go old school". That means we are using flip cards to post the score and count down watches to keep the time. But we need your help to get a new electronic 'Scoreboard'!
To get a new scoreboard it is about $5,000 dollars. If we raise more than $5k we are going to get more items (equipment) to make Palumbo even better.
If you want to donate, here with a credit card, please do so, or you can also drop a check off.
We appreciate any size of donations! Thank you for supporting us, and spread the word!
