Most people in the US don't realize more than 55,000 people still die of rabies every year around the world, mostly children, mostly from bites from unvaccinated dogs. Rabies is 100% fatal, yet 100% preventable! World Rabies Day is celebrated every year on September 28 to bring people together to join the fight against human rabies. Sometimes thousands of dogs are killed needlessly out of fear of rabies. Killing the dogs does not eliminate the risk of rabies. Vaccination does! Please help fund rabies vaccination programs to prevent the suffering of thousands of people and dogs from this preventable disease. The Panamerican World Rabies Day Initiative focuses on rabies in all of the Americas. This year your donation will go to support dog vaccination against rabies in Haiti where more than 1 million doses of dog vaccine are needed on an annual basis.

Your $10 donation buys vaccine and pays vaccination logistics for 20 dogs
Your $20 donation buys vaccine and pays vaccination logistics for 50 dogs

Save dogs’ lives by means of reducing the rabies load promoting the recognition and public health value of vaccinated dogs that will leave no space for the disease to spread.

Save people’s lives by means of reducing rabies exposure and increasing public awareness. Vaccination campaigns are very visible public health events and will be used to raise awareness about the risks of rabies, and inform the steps to prevent bites and seek care if bitten by an animal.
