Hi my name is Robert but everyone calls me PaPa. I am living with SEVERE EMPHYSEMA and the medication for this is not cheap even with insurance. Please take a minute to read about my wish for my wife and I. My wife and I have had a dream of buying a RV and traveling this wonderful country. But our dream has been put on the back burner for a very long time now. Some of our friends said that we should tell our story and maybe the good people of this country might help us fullfill our dream to travel and teach our grandkids the history of this country. Every summer as the grand kids grew we would take them to special places so that we could bond and enjoy them as grandparents should, and now that they are getting older we wanted to buy a RV and share our dream with them and take them to different states and learn and enjoy the culture and the history of this country. Unfortunately this has been unobtainable due to the lost of income and restrains of life once you think your getting ahead life puts you back 2 steps, here is a bit of a back story on my life and set backs. So here is my story, I am the oldest child of six and my wife is the second oldest of seven. We have 3 children 14 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. I have always worked hard to give my family what they needed, I always wanted my children to have more than I had growing up and to be better than I was growing up and I do believe they have achived that goal. In 1999 I suffered a stroke and that ended my working career as a truck driver. We lost just about everything our house and car because I could not support my family anymore and as a man that has always supported his family this was very humbling and embarrassing for me. Due to this my wife had to return back to work to help dig us out of the uncontrollable situation. We were doing good getting back on our feet the bills were being paid life was looking better then it had in years. Than in 2003 I suffered a heart attack this put a strin on my amazing wife once agian, but we got though that as well together. Our 2 boys were starting their own families and our daughter was raising her children. Life was good . Than in 2012 my wife fell and needed surgery on her knee but unfortunately now she is unable to work as well. So she was forced to retire so we lost her wages and life got harder once again. If that wasn't bad enough this past January she suffered a heart attack. The stress of these past years had a toll on her. I am so blessed to have her in my life. So now we are both on social security and let me tell you it does not pay very well. It got to the point that every month we had to make the choice of eating or getting our medications. We were so proud that we didn't tell our kids about our money problems and the trouble that we were in once again. One day our sons were over at our house and went in to get something to eat and asked why we didn't have food at that point my wife and I had to swallow our proud and come clean about our situation that we had got into so we sat down with them and told them that this month was medication month and next month we would buy food. An that we had been living like this for the passed few months. After the bills were paid the rent, gas, light, meds ect.. we were left with $19. That is when our youngest son asked us to come live with him and his family. So that is our story in a nut shell. We don't like asking for help that just isn't how we are at all but we are still hoping that we can full fill our dream of getting an RV and taking the grandkids on some awesome trips and spending as much time with them as possible before we can no longer. So please if at all possible would you please help us out with our dream. PLEASE SHARE THIS SO THAT WE CAN LIVE OUR DREAM . Sincerely Yours PaPa Thank You Robert (aka) Papa
