At midnight on April 17th, 10 graduates from the Frederick S. Pardee School of Global Studies at Boston University will be biking the 26-mile Boston Marathon route. For this to not just be a ‘for the guts and glory’ race, we have decided to try and raise $2000 for the Children's Hospital in Boston. Founded in 1869, Boston Children's Hospital is one of the nation's top hospitals specializing in pediatric care. Children’s is home to the world’s largest research enterprise based at a pediatric medical center, and had over 15,000 admissions last year. The motto of the Pardee School is to advance human progress. Children are the future, and if we are to ensure that humanity progresses, we need to make sure that children continue to get the best treatment out there.
