Paris Michelle Davis Fund
Organized by: Evelyn Whitaker
My daughter Toniece Jones Davis came home yesterday with a 4 day old baby girl that she has adopted. She received a phone call in Jefferson City Mo. that a baby which she has wanted for years was avaliable for adoption but she had to pick her up by 6 pm the following day to avoid her going into foster care. She drove 8 hours to Tennessee, met with the natural mother, social worker, and hospital staff and left with this precious bundle of joy named Paris. Paris Michelle Davis is the most beautiful baby you ever want to see. Because the natural mother had no intentions of keeping her, she didn't purchase any of the necessities required. Toni, as my daughter is fondly know as has a 25 year old daughter and is a wonderful human being and is the most loving, caring, and selfless person I know. I know she will be a great mom but need some getting-started assistance. She is in the process of moving this weekend as was planned before the news about the baby and used a bit of her moving money to take time off work, go to pick up Paris and purchase some of the things she needs. Any and all funds will go to Toniece and Paris so they can get off to a good start. We are blessed and extremely happy to welcome Paris into our family. I am a new grandma again who plan to go to Jeff City next week to offer my assistance. I was laid off my job yesterday unexpectedly but plan to use the first of my time away from work to go there to meet Paris and help my child get set up and moving is a positive direction as she ventures into a lifetime of loving and caring for her new baby girl. I am so excited and Toni is thrilled.
