Just over six months ago, one of my best friends Jillian and I embarked on what came to be one of my life’s great moments. After much hard work, fundraising, and your support, we crossed the finished line at our first marathon in Paris, and together we raised more than $10,000.

Today, I begin a new challenge and again will ask for your support and fundraising. This time is a bit different, though, as I not only will compete in the Paris Marathon to raise money to fight Leukemia and Lymphoma, but I am also a Team in Training Mentor, tasked with ensuring that everyone on my team crosses the finish line. As many of you know and as I articulated last year, a marathon is no easy task - 26.2 grueling miles of running on concrete and cobble stones alike. Like last year, I’ll be dedicating each mile to a friend who is battling cancer, or their family member/ friend whose life is touched by cancer. If you have a story you'd like to share with me, I would love to hear it! And if you know someone close to you whose live has been afflicted by cancer, please include their name in your donation and I would be more than honored to wear their name on race day. This year it won’t be a breeze in the park either; I will be aiming to achieve PR (personal best) at this race, and ensuring my team finishes alongside each other.
