Paris Perkins Innocence Project
Organized by: Sarah Perkins
Hello my name is Sarah Perkins. My older brother Paris was falsely accused of a crime he did not commit and was sentenced to 85 years to life. He was accused of shoorting four drug dealers on a street corner in Brooklyn.
Paris is the most kind, compassionate and loving person I know. He is my hero and I miss him with all my heart. On the day that the crime occurred, Paris was out shopping for a Mother's Day gift for our Mom with my brother and two of their female friends. He was nowhere near where this crime happened. The witnesses who claimed to have seen my brother on this day were all known drug addicts with criminal histories. Their stories of what they saw were all wrong. They identified him incorrectly and had his height and body type completely wrong. This was not a case of justice being served, but of a District Attorney wanting to close a case as fast as possible. They were not interested in hearing the truth about my brother's actual whereabouts that day. We have tried to get help from all of the innocence projects that are out there, and while they have all been very sympathetic to our cause, they are unable to help in cases that do not have any DNA evidence. We need an attorney who can re-open his case and shine light on the truth of that day which will prove that my brother is innocent. Prior to this happening, my brother Paris was a very positive and productive person who worked full time in New York building sets for the Broadway Theatre as well as modeling part time and working with inner city kids at a non-profit agency. Paris is still young and has so much love and life to share.
Please help me so that justice can finally be served. I want the person who is responsible for this crime to be caught and for my innocent brother to be set free so he can be returned to his family and loved ones. Thank you and God Bless! Sarah Perkins. <3
