We are getting ready!
August 01, 2016
BENEFITING: Cornerstone Community Outreach
EVENT DATE: Aug 14, 2016
A few years ago Parker wanted to have a yard sale and lemonade stand. He wanted to buy some new toys, we as his parents were amused by his determination, so we helped him out. After his home stand we had the idea to hold his lemonade stand at the Chicago Fire game and he would donate 1/2 his proceeds to The Chicago Fire Foundation. He raised a lot more money than we expected. We changed the half, he was allowed to keep $100 and donate the rest.
The following year we asked P if he would like to do his lemonade stand again. He wanted to and wanted to donate money to the homeless. He had just realized that other children were homeless and it broke his heart. Through some research we found Cornerstone, a local family shelter. Parker has donated the money from his lemonade stands for the last two years. The first year was $250 and last year $2000. We have been overwhelmed by everyone's generosity to make this happen. It has taught Parker a lot, and continues to grow his compassion.
A lot of people haven't been able to physically make his stand, so we are putting together this page in order to raise money for Cornerstone Community Outreach ( http://www.ccolife.org/ ).
If you can attend in person, Parker will be slinging Lemonade at the Chicago Fire vs Orlando City match on August 14th 3PM game. We will be out there slinging the lemonades from 11AM until a bit before kickoff. Please come on out and support Parker in his efforts to raise money for Cornerstone a local homeless shelter.
