THE STORY:
Friends and family,
Please join me in raising crucial funds for the Pleebo Health Center in Liberia. After Ebola, Liberia's health care has struggled. Many of its health care workers died in an already fragile system. PIH has built and helped run the Pleebo Health Center since shortly after Ebola, and the facility is in serious need. They serve 160,000, when it is built to serve 60,000. This poses serious safety risks and causes huge wait times.
The money we raise will help build an expansion to further serve maternal and child health at the center, with more delivery beds, recovery beds, and consultation rooms. This will allow more mothers to give birth safely, for them to have ample time to recover after birth, and allow seperation between infectious disease and maternity areas for both mother and child safety.
In these uncertian times, we need to take action to create the world we want to live in.
Your $30 pays for supplements to treat severe malnutrition for one person for one year; your $100 allows us to screen 100 women for HIV; you $300 provides a family in the TB/HIV program food packages for 6 months. Better yet, all donations will be matched up to $100,00.
We have the power to make a difference. Join me.
