BENEFITING: Pathways to Education Canada
ORGANIZER: Pathways to Education Canada
EVENT: 2016 Boston Marathon
EVENT DATE: Apr 18, 2016
As a Manulife employee, I am so grateful to be selected to run in the 2016 Boston Marathon as part of John Hancock’s invitational lottery program. As part of this program, I am fund-raising for an amazing charity, Pathways to Education. This charity provides support to students from low-income communities to assist in removing barriers that prevent kids from completing their high school degree and moving onto college or university. As a mother, I believe every child should be given the opportunity to be successful in school and this organization does just that.
Over the next 18 weeks, I will train 5 days a week to prepare me to participate in the 120th Boston Marathon on April 18, 2016. Thoughts of my family and friends will be so important to get me through the toughest times during my training and of course on race day.
If you are able to donate to this cause it would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for your support!
Go team! Pathways to Education is thrilled to partner with Manulife and John Hancock for the fourth time at the 2016 Boston Marathon. We’re inspired by the runners training hard and flexing their fundraising muscles for an important cause: Pathways to Education Programs in 17 communities across Canada. Good luck runners and thank you to everybody supporting this committed team.
