Patricia Celeste fund to support COPD research.
Organized by: Tara Celeste
My grandmother was Patricia Celeste, who was the rock of our family. She was the one person who kept us together, who was kind, caring loving and giving even beyond her means, others always came first before herself, something that she passed on to me. She had been battling with COPD for as long as I could remember and it was something that she struggled with every day. From using inhalers, to taking steroids, not being able to breathe as she should have and it was difficult for us all to watch these struggles. But on a Sunday morning, she had lost her battle to COPD, as well as other conditions and she passed away, leaving us mourning an amazing woman who had shown us more love than anyone could imagine. I have created this fundraiser after having done some research and finding out that there was a foundation called the COPD Foundation that educates people and their families on this illness and also does fundraising for research to find a cure and help better the lives of those battling with this condition. So I wanted to join this cause and I am raising money to donate to this cause and help others fight this, so as to give them more time, and maybe a new lease on life, so they will not lose those they hold dear as we did.
