THE STORY:
Hi my name is Breanna and I would like to share some history regarding my dad’s fight against cancer so you can understand how important it is to me to receive your support.
He was diagnosed with stage 4 prostate cancer that had spread to his bones and lymph nodes. The doctors in our home town told us he had no options and to get his affairs in order, they told him he wouldn’t live very long. We were devastated and after a couple of weeks my mom and I and our family were looking for options and to get a second opinion.
We researched cancer centers available in the US and determined MD Anderson Cancer Center was #1 in the US as well as in the world, so my mom called and scheduled an appointment. After my dad had met his oncologist we knew he was in good hands. She has provided my dad with numerous options to include hormone therapy, chemo therapy, radiation and receiving a special medicine that reduced the cancer in his bones and provided him with relief.
My dad continues to fight the side effects of the medicines the doctors are giving him because he loves me and my mom and wants to continue to be part of our family. He struggles every day and gets up and works at home doing laundry, cleaning house and taking care of tasks to help my mom and me.
He has been fighting hard to get rid of his cancer for over 2 years and unfortunately due to the cost of the treatments and him traveling to Houston, TX so often we do not have enough money to continue his treatments without your help.
I can’t imagine our lives without my dad, so please click on the donate button now and enter any amount of money you can in order for us to support and provide him with the ability to continue his journey and his efforts to beat the cancer before it beats him!
