Pat’s Run is the signature fundraising event of the Pat Tillman Foundation. The main event is held in late April to commemorate the day Pat lost his life in Afghanistan serving with the 75th Ranger Regiment, Pat’s Run is a 4.2 Mile Run/Walk that winds through the streets of Tempe to Sun Devil Stadium at ASU. In the Boise area, we have the most beautiful routes of all the Shadow runs as it starts at Merrill Park in Eagle, and goes along the river. You can't ask for a more peaceful time to run or walk!
Pat’s Run raises money for the Pat Tillman Foundation, which invests in military veterans and their spouses through academic scholarships – building a diverse community of leaders committed to service to others.
This will be my 3rd year participating in Pat's Run. I pride myself in knowing that I finish the 4.2 on my gimpy hip and being last/near last every year. This year, my goal is to not just complete the route, but raise some money as well. I personally have friends and/or friends' kids who are using their GI Bill to get their degrees and further their education. I support any organization that advances the lives of our former military men and women. This organization does this. What the Tillman family has done to honor Pat's memory is completely in line with every Pat believed. I don't have a huge goal. Just $100. Can you chip in?
