“I have dedicated my life to shattering the silence and preventing sexual violence – thanks to a cataclysmic event that took place 20 years ago this month. When I was 17 years old, I was kidnapped and assaulted. I was abducted out of a Chicago parking lot in broad daylight following after leaving my job at the mall.
Though I had become one of the 25 percent of girls predicted by the CDC to be assaulted before they reached 18, I refused to simply become a statistic.  I fought back, and learned that people can make a difference when they harness their will and work together. And I’ve never stopped fighting.” - Angela Rose, Founder and CEO

Testimonials of Pave’s Impact:

When high school survivor Delaney Henderson got in touch with PAVE she said she realized,  “I could make this a positive thing — my whole life is not a negative,” Henderson said. “That was the first moment that I realized something good could come out of this.” Read more here: http://huff.to/1LC6Re4

After PAVE reached over 5,000 students this spring in Arlington County public high schools a student shared it was a good idea to teach about being a bystander because people don’t always know what to do, and I learned how to respond”. Another student remarked, “It was very educational and eye-opening as to what really happens and how to react and support survivors.” Read more about our recent work in high schools here: http://bit.ly/29rW6wT

I'm so happy this is a thing. I was sexually assaulted a few months ago and I'm so glad someone I know is trying to make sure people are aware that it does happen. 3 years ago
