BENEFITING: Humane Animal Rescue
ORGANIZER: Humane Animal Rescue
EVENT: 2018 Pittsburgh Marathon
EVENT DATE: May 06, 2018
Fun fact: I like animals more than I like humans. Another fun fact: I like to run for good causes. Thus - I have decided to run the Half Marathon every year in Pittsburgh to raise money for Pittsburgh's Humane Society.
My dog is my family. He is my fur baby and I can't imagine my life without him. I rescued him from a shelter four years ago and it was by far the best decision I have ever made. It was not only one of the most rewarding experiences, but the love is something that I wish every dog and family the chance of experiencing. That is why I think it is so important to support local shelters and the effort that they are making to make sure that all of these animals are able to have the opportunity to receive the love that they deserve.
Any and all donations are greatly appreciated, not just by me, but also by the dogs, cats, bunnies and all of the other rescue animals that are taken in every year. There are a lot of costs that go into maintaining the local animal shelters. Please help me in supporting this great cause and helping out the animals that need our support.
Here are some of the ways we'll use the funds you raise:
$30 will cover the cost of micro-chipping a cat or dog.
$50 will provide low-cost spay/neuter services to a family who couldn’t otherwise afford it.
$100 will provide behavioral training for an animal to help her find a new home more quickly.
$1,000 will cover the total care for an animal that stays in our shelter for one month.
Again, thank you and here's to another year of Paws Over Pittsburgh!
