Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome (PCOS) is one of the leading causes of infertility, affecting over 10,000,000 women of reproductive age. PCOS Awareness Association (PCOSAA) was founded to enlighten the public and provide great support for women affected by this terrible disorder.
PCOS Awareness Association's Goals are:
PREPARE: Although there is no single test to diagnose Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome, we encourage women to consult their physician when they see strange signs like skin tags, hair growth on the face, and male-pattern baldness or when they experience symptoms like irregular menstrual periods, pelvic pain and anxiety.
COMMUNICATE: Our website provides information about special events and programs. We announce medical conferences, symposia and classes that help women become proactive about their health.
OVERCOME: To help women overcome the symptoms of PCOS, we encourage them to make healthy lifestyle choices; including taking food or supplements containing chromium, fish oil, inositol and probiotics, and also engaging in physical activities to help them lose weight
SUPPORT: Thanks to the PCOSAA team, our supporters and our amiable volunteers who have been rendering their unflinching support since 2012. We offer top-notch counseling services to give emotional support to women. Sometimes, we pay event fees and give women the opportunity to attend various events at no cost.
