Peace of mind for a weary caretaker

Myriad healthy husband of 47 years collapsed on January 4th of 2016 and for all intents and purposes was basically dying right before my eyes. He wasn't getting any oxygen to his feet, they were purple. We called 911 and got him to the hospital where thankfully they saved him. But not after 3 emergency surgeries , blood clot in his right, collapsed lung, and then removal of a dead spleen. Which you know really weakens your immune system. So now his life has totally changed. He is restricted to a wheelchair and a walker. He was an active person and I know he hates his new life but yet he rarely complains. His right foot is alive but rendered unless and he is constantly in pain and amputation is not out of the question. I have to work and have also been relegated to the role off caretaker, which has actually made our marriage of 27 years even better.:-) I have to help him bathe, go outside, and pretty much anything else you can think of. He has to see a whole plethora of drs. Therapist about five to six times a month. I forgot to mention that he was in the hospital for 42 days so you can only imagine what that cost just by itself. With all the appointments, all the apparatus that we have had to buy like a walker and a $800 wheelchair, all the medications that we tried has really put a big strain on us financially. So it has come to this, I am ready to try go fund me and see if the great people in this great country can help us out. Single Angie Johnson from Kansas
