Pediatric Stroke Warriors

Make a difference!

With your gift, you can help Pediatric Stroke Warriors give back and make an even bigger impact for the Pediatric Stroke community.

Contrary to the common belief, a stroke is a potential risk for anyone, including newborns, infants and teens. Pediatric Stroke Warriors is committed to serving the needs of children impacted by stroke and their families. We simply could not do what we do without the support of a generous community!

Founded in early 2015, Pediatric Stroke Warriors has grown into the largest Pediatric Stroke nonprofit based in the Pacific Northwest Region. We continue to strengthen communities through family support, advocacy in education and dissemination of current resources related to stroke in children.

We stand dedicated in our mission of building community awareness for pediatric stroke and hope for impacted children and their families. At the very heart of this mission is children. We believe that increasing awareness leads to a quicker recognition of stroke in children, and that having a foundation in support can help a child flourish to their greatest potential after stroke.

Together, we continue to make a difference!

In 2015, we established our first Stroke Fund within Seattle Children's Hospital specifically to support the emergency finical aid to impacted families and the clinical research within their Pediatric Vascular Neurology and Stroke Program. We work together to ensure that some of the greatest needs in the pediatric stroke community can be met with the help of philanthropic funding and support.

Nationwide, we have distributed hundreds of our Warrior Bags & Brave Boxes to newly diagnosed families and children of all ages, recovering from stroke. Requests come in each week and we continue to build working relationships among Children's Hospitals with pediatric stroke centers to have these resources on hand to help support families.

Our leadership team of dedicated parents and professionals worked together to bring the Pediatric Stroke Warriors Family Toolkit to publication. This new comprehensive resource is intended to give families sound information and guidance on how to navigate the journey after stroke with their child. This Toolkit is for educational purposes and is not intended to be a substitute for professional medical advice.

With growth in our BRAVE Initiative we continue to build community partnerships and get behind events, speaking engagements and campaigns with solid information about the impact of stroke in children and the vital need for growth in awareness and education. Time is Brain.

Your awareness, support and donations are what makes all of what we focus our mission on with Pediatric Stroke Warriors, possible! Together, we can continue to make a difference in the lives of children and families impacted by stroke!
