Over 23 million Americans suffer from substance use disorders, and 90% of them don't receive the treatment they need. This could be your neighbor, your relative or your close friend---not only is there a large treatment gap due to a culture of shame, but there is also an issue with the affordability of treatment. Why wait to help? We can do something about this now.
Since 1975, PEER Services has provided community-based substance abuse prevention and treatment services to the residents of Evanston, Northfield, New Trier, Maine and Niles Townships, and the north side of Chicago.
Our mission is to prevent and treat the problems that substance abuse causes individuals, families and our communities. We are committed to providing high-quality, affordable treatment and services to all in need. During our 40 years of serving the community, we've developed over 15 programs for people at any stage of life, from adolescent to older adult. PEER truly believes in confronting the issue of substance use no matter what age and situation, and we refuse to leave behind anyone that wants to impact the way that they live their lives.
Help us change and save the lives of teens and adults struggling with substance use. Every dollar counts and can provide for a family in need of your support to get treatment for their loved one. Some of the people that approach us cannot afford as little as $5 a week for treatment, but they deserve all the help that we can provide to get them started on the road to recovery.
