On Friday, June 17, I will be participating in the annual Penguin Random House Global Walk in New York City to benefit CAMBA. As one of New York City’s largest multi-service agencies, CAMBA provides integrated services and programs in: Education and Youth Development, Family Support, Health, Housing, Legal Services, and Economic Development through more than 160 programs. We take a holistic approach to helping individuals, families and communities thrive. Like Penguin Random House, CAMBA is committed to fostering a passion for reading for the 45,000 New Yorkers in need they serve every year, including 10,000 youth. For their clients, the enjoyment and discovery of books are only part of the goal. Developing literacy skills is an essential key to self-sufficiency and economic security – and CAMBA strives to give all of the people we work with the capability of reading and writing well so they can flourish. I hope you'll consider giving a few dollars (or more!) to support me and this wonderful nonprofit organization. All donations are tax-deductible and will directly support CAMBA’s literacy programs. Together, we can make a difference. Thanks for your support!
