I am, once again, chairing the Komen Connecticut Ride for the Cure. As Committee Chair, I spend over 10 months volunteering my time in planning this event. I won't be saddling up this year--my main goal is to make sure all the Riders have a picture perfect day and that we honor those who can no longer ride.
We all know someone who has been touched by breast cancer. This year, I'm reminded of why the work that Komen Connecticut does is so very important. I'll be wearing a bridle ribbon with the names of two amazing women. A life long friend who is fighting her battle for the third time, and a new friend, who was diagnosed with stage 4 metastatic breast cancer--her courage and strength is so amazing in the face of such a tough road ahead. I do what I do, for these women.
Join me in the fight against breast cancer by making a tax-deductible donation to my Ride for the Cure. Please click the "Donate" button here on my fundraiser page and donate online. Donations can also be made by mail. Send your donation directly to Komen Connecticut's office at 74 Batterson Park Road, Farmington, CT 06032. When mailing a donation, please be sure to include a note indicating that the funds should be allocated toward my Ride participation. None of your donated funds support operations at the National Komen organization - we keep it local!
I hope you will support my passion by making a donation. Thank you so much for your time and support. Together, we are helping women beat breast cancer.
