During the Blindfold Challenge, runners and sighted guides are connected by a two-foot tether and run the same course, at the same time and under the same circumstances as the other participants in the B.A.A. 5K. Each runner also commits to raise at least $1,000 to support programs and services at Perkins.
Show your solidarity and experience the thrill of the challenge. Register to run for Perkins or donate to one of our runners below. We guarantee the Blindfold Challenge will change the way you see.
The Blindfold Challenge is a collaborative event held by Perkins School for the Blind in partnership with the Massachusetts Association for the Blind and Visually Impaired (MABVI) and National Braille Press.
Perkins School for the Blind prepares children and young adults who are blind, deafblind or visually impaired, including those who have additional disabilities, with the education, confidence and skills they need to realize their potential.
