Pershing Rifles A-8 operation fund
Organized by: Calvin Au
On 27 January 2016, Pershing Rifles Company A-8 was rechactered after over 40 years of inactivity due to opposition against the military during the Vietnam War, and the removal of City University of New York's Army Reserve Officer Training Corps in the early 1970s. After recharctering, we are in need of operation funds; to purchase dummy drill rifles, uniform items, and other operational expenses. The mission of the National Society of Pershing Rifles is to "aid in the development of successful officers in the Army, Navy, and Air Force. To foster camaraderie and esprit de corps among all three Reserve Officers' Training Corps programs. To further the purpose, traditions, and concepts of the United States Army, Navy, and Air Force. And to give civilians an opportunity to be part of a military organization without a formal commitment to the military." We are a Drill team first and we conduct tactics and physical training on our own time on top of our regular ROTC training. We ask for your generous donation, any amount is much appreciated!
