Race is over, but the fight to end Cancer lives on...
November 12, 2016
BENEFITING: The V Foundation
EVENT DATE: Nov 06, 2016
I never thought I would run a marathon, much less multiple marathons. But in January I ran my first, raising over 3k for the V Foundation for Cancer Research. After taking some time off, I realized that the fight wasn't over. I have friends and family who are living with and battling Cancer. And that I wasn't done yet. The fight lives on. I can help bring more awareness , I can run and I can help raise funds so that we can help find a cure for this horrible disease.
I am running this race in loving honor my Uncle, Max Ansbacher. A true inspiration to me who is in remission from a battle with Cancer. He continues to fight, as do others. So I hope you will join me in helping me reach my fundraising goal. Please donate and spread the word.
The V Foundation was founded by ESPN and former award-winning NC State basketball coach Jim Valvano. Coach Valvano was diagnosed with cancer in 1993. When he created the Foundation, he knew that it was too late for research to save him. But he spent his last months alive creating a legacy of hope for others diagnosed with this debilitating disease.
In the past 22 years, The V Foundation has awarded more than $150 million to cancer research and related programs nationwide.
Jim Valvano’s “Don’t Give Up . . . Don’t Ever Give Up!”® spirit is alive now more than ever. With continued support, The V Foundation will forge ahead with innovative research. Please Support me by donating and helping me reach my goal.
