THE STORY:

My name is Peter Starkey and I am a student at The George Washington University in Washington, DC. This summer I have decided to walk across America for pro-life with an organization called Crossroads. The mission of Crossroads is to bring the pro-life message to the streets through prayer and peaceful pro-life witness.

Crossroads is a unique opportunity for me to do pro-life work throughout the entire summer. As a group we will walk every mile from the West Coast to Washington, DC – wearing t-shirts with the words “PRO-LIFE” in large letters across the front. We will be able to cover the approximately 3,500 miles by walking both day and night, Monday through Friday, for the entire 12 weeks of the walk. During the weekends we will stop in a major city along the way to pray and counsel outside abortion facilities and to speak to youth groups, pro-life groups and parishes.

In order to walk with Crossroads this summer and be able to continue my studies I am asking for your help. I feel that there is nothing more important I can do with my summer vacation than to work to save lives and change hearts but I am in need of financial support to make it possible for me to go on this walk and to return to school in the fall. The money that I am trying to raise will go to pay for both my summer and expenses for my studies

I greatly appreciate any support that you can offer to enable me to dedicate my summer to helping bring back a Culture of Life to our country. If you have any questions about the walk or would like more information please visit the Crossroads website at www.crossroadswalk.org for more information regarding their national pro-life walks.
