BENEFITING: The Petit Family Foundation
ORGANIZER: Petit Family Foundation Running Team
EVENT DATE: Nov 24, 2010
We are busy training to toe the line at the 2010 ING Hartford Marathon relay, which takes place on Saturday, October 9 in downtown Hartford, CT. After a successful run at last years event, the majority of the team is back for more!
Each member will be running one leg, all of varying distances. There are exchange zones along the course, and each member will hand off a bracelet to the next runner until the last leg crosses the finish line. The race starts off with a 6.2 mile leg, on to a 5 mile leg, then a short 3.1 mile leg, back to another 6.2 mile leg and finishes off with a 5.7 mile leg to the finish at Bushnell Park.
The team consists of PFF Relay veterans Megan Reeve of Boston, MA, Doug Erikson of Cheshire, CT, Caroline Longacre of Cheshire, CT and myself (Brian Hetzel, Cheshire, CT). Joining us for the first time is Garrett Coffin of Hopkington, MA. Kim Ferraiolo, a team member last year, will be running the Half Marathon for the Petit Family Foundation Running Team.

Your donation goes to support the core mission of: The Petit Family Foundation, Inc., a 501(c)(3) nonprofit. The foundation funds are given to foster the education of young people, especially women in the sciences; to improve the lives of those affected by chronic illness; and to support the efforts to help and protect those affected by violence.
