We take animal rescue seriously. So seriously that we’re asking you to do your part in rescuing animals by helping us win this Saving Pets Challenge. To donate to help us win, select your choice of team below and then click on the big red "Donate to this fundaiser" button!

What's the contest all about?
The first picture you see in our gallery here is Midnight. He was rescued from Animal Care and Control in New York City, where he was on the kill list because he had a cold. Pets Alive saved him just before he was to be euthanized. There are many Midnights that we aim to help that end up in similar situations – but it all takes money.
Michelson Found Animals, the sponsor of this contest, will donate over $115,000 to animal welfare organizations dedicated to decreasing shelter pet euthanasia. The organization that raises the most will get a $50,000 donation to their cause. That could be Pets Alive - with your help!
How You Can Help
It would be so amazing if our incredible supporters like you became fundraisers. By setting up a fundraiser for our cause and reaching out to your network of supporters, imagine the impact you can have. All you have to do is click 'Fundraise for This Campaign' here on this page. The contest runs for 5 weeks through June 5, 2:00pm ET. Share your fundraiser page with everyone you know and start raising money.
Each week there will be a “bonus challenge” for a chance to win even more money. This first week, we need to raise at least $250 to be entered into a contest to win $4,000.
Who are we?
Pets Alive is one of the oldest and largest no kill animal rescue and advocacy organizations in the United States, operating two facilities located in Middletown and Elmsford, New York, that serve to rescue, rehabilitate and find loving homes for dogs, cats, rabbits, and farm animals. Our mission is to improve the lives of companion animals everywhere by any means possible, including rescue, adoption, advocacy, collaboration, intervention and education.
In 2014, Pets Alive saved 1,405 cats, dogs and farm animals from life-threatening circumstances, and we found forever homes for 1,472 animals. It was through private donations from generous people and organizations that we were able to achieve this accomplishment.
How would we use the money raised by this challenge? No matter how big or small your donation, it helps Pets Alive save animals. For example:
- 10 dollars buys a bag of cat or dog food
- 25 dollars buys one large canister of powdered kitten milk for orphaned kittens
- 50 dollars pays for one spay/neuter
- 1000 dollars provides medical care for an animal needing lifesaving surgery
Thank you in advance for your support!
