Bay Area Humane Society's annual PetWalk, presented by Capital Credit Union and Star 98!
We are very excited to present this family-friendly 5K walk to support the shelter animals here at Bay Area Humane Society. The walk begins at the shelter and goes through a nice wilderness trail through the Wildlife Sanctuary. This fundraiser helps us provide care and find homes for thousands of homeless animals a year. Walk in honor of all the animals who don’t have a family yet. Canines (or felines) are welcome- but are not needed in order to participate.
A three mile walk (5K) that starts here at BAHS, goes through the Wildlife Sanctuary, and ends back here at the shelter. $20 registration fee for ages 11 and older, $10 for ages 4-10, and anyone 3 and under are FREE.
Bring your dog! They are welcome to join you for this event.

Microchip station: Is your pet in need of a microchip? Get one today, on the spot- ONLY $15
Live music by Star 98! Steve and Laura will also be our MC’s for the event.
Brown County K-9 Unit will be on hand. Meet an officer and his K-9 companion.
Dog costume contest: Get ‘em cleaned up, spruced up or dressed up. Win a prize for the best costume.
FREE breakfast munchies: We will have samples of bagels, breads, and bananas to help you get the fuel you need to complete your walk.
Food tent: We will be selling burgers, hotdogs and walking taco’s once you have completed the walk or starting at 10:30am.
Kid’s games and activities: We will have some children’s games, as well as, balloon making and face-painting.

Every donation counts. Whether its $5, $25, or $100, each gift makes a huge difference in helping the homeless animals in this community who are looking for a chance at new forever homes.
As an added incentive, prizes will be awarded at different fundraising levels. (For individual fundraisers only. Team totals are excluded, but individuals within the team can qualify for prizes.
Are there ID requirements or an age limit to enter the event? No age limit, except children under 18 should be accompanied by an adult.
What are my transport/parking options getting to the event? You are able to park on any nearby streets. The most common are Radisson St. or Cofrin St. (Cofrin is behind the shelter, but there is a short path through the woods leading to the shelter. We will have the entrance of the trail marked, so it is easy to find.) We will have limited handicapped parking available in the lot next door at Immel Construction.
What can/can't I bring to the event? Your furry friends are welcome to come to the event and walk with you. All dogs must be leashed and family-friendly. There is a very large crowd for this event. In addition, make sure your dogs are used to walking. Three miles is a lot for little legs and many can get tired very easily. We will have a few stops along the route this year, which should help with this.
I registered for the event, how do I get my t-shirt? We will be having a pre-registration on Friday from 4:00-7:00 pm where you can come and get your t-shirts. You can also pick up any prizes you may be getting from helping us fundraise, drop off any money you may have received, or register for the event if you haven't done so already. Everyone (or while supplies last) will recieve a FREE goodie bag full of samples and coupons from local businesses just for coming on Friday. You may also pick up your t-shirts and prizes on Saturday morning from 8:00 am to 9:15 am. The walk will begin at 9:30 am.
What is the walk route? The walk starts right in front of the Bay Area Humane Society. Radisson, down to Danz Ave, into the Wildlife Sanctuary, Irwin Ave and back to BAHS. Map route is attached here.
