About the P.F. Bresee Foundation
The P.F. Bresee (Bresee) Foundation’s mission is to provide comprehensive afterschool programs and family services that equip young people to pursue their education, achieve their full potential, and serve others. Bresee envisions a central Los Angeles community transformed by character-driven, creative, college-educated Bresee Foundation alumni.
Bresee serves youth and families living in central Los Angeles who face multiple socio-economic barriers, hindering their academic and personal success. Their ability to achieve their full potential is impeded by poverty, high unemployment, and high rates of gang violence. Bresee works with youth and families to overcome these barriers, providing academic support, STEM and arts classes, sports leagues, and a range of other services.
LA Clippers Partnership
The Bresee Foundation is proud to partner with the LA Clippers for the third year in a row through the Mentorship Assist Zone. The Mentorship Assist Zone program supports local organizations with mentorship recruitment, student incentives, speakers, cultural experiences and group outings. While the program supports all youth mentorship, it has a special emphasis on organizations serving youth in underserved communities and young men of color.
