Pulmonary hypertension (PH) is high blood pressure in the lungs that causes patients to experience symptoms such as shortness of breath, dizziness and fatigue. This chronic and life-changing disease is difficult to diagnosis and can lead to right heart failure if left untreated. Currently, there is no cure for this life-threatening disease.
The Pulmonary Hypertension Association is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that has evolved into an international community of more than 16,000 PH patients, caregivers, family members and health care professionals. PHA relies on donations to fund its many programs, including the nation’s largest PH patient and caregiver support group network; lifesaving early diagnosis awareness and education programs; specialty care resources; and research to find ways to prevent and cure PH.
Your donation will go toward patient scholarships to PHA’s International PH Conference and Scientific Sessions in 2018. You will be helping a patient, who otherwise would not have the means to attend, get direct access to the latest on PH research, care and lifestyle coping tips.
We are walking to support the PH community members that we serve every day. We don’t just talk the talk, we walk the walk.
Donate today to give a patient the gift they will never forget.
