Philippines Service Immersion Experience
Organized by: Rachel Majerczyk
EVENT DATE Jan 01, 2015
Through Benedictine University, I will be flying with my group to the Negros Island of the Philippines to work with the Gawad Kalinga organization. With this organization, a group of us will be building a house in a local village on the island. The group and I will be staying at a retreat house on the campus of the University of St. LaSalle during my school's winter break, between the 1st through the 11th of January.
I plan to raise money through fundraising and CrowdRise to pay for my trip, which includes food, travel, and housing expenses. Any extra money that I raise will be donated toward this immersion experience program to benefit the mission of the Gawad Kalinga organization to end poverty and restore human dignity for 5 million poor families by the year 2024.
Help me with my mission to travel to the Negros Island of the Philippines and help one family gain a home! With every effort that goes towards one goal, a great deal of progress can be made!
