A DEVASTATING typhoon, possibly the strongest storm to hit land ever recorded, flattens large swathes of the Philippines.
Typhoon Haiyan has killed an estimated 10,000 people and has displaced more than 600,000, but the death toll could rise once the record-strength typhoon reaches isolated coastal villages. Haiyan inflicted serious damage to at least six of the archipelago's more than 7,000 islands, with Leyte, neighboring Samar Island, and the northern part of Cebu appearing to bear the brunt of the storm. About 4 million people were affected by the storm.
I started this fundraiser to help the Philippine with relief of food, medicine, shelter, clothing, emotional support, baby products such as formula, diapers, and so forth, as well as other assistance in response to disasters after Haiyan Typhoon hits Philippines.
