On June 1st 2013, My brother and I will be running in the Boston "Tough Mudder" Race. Our goal is to complete the roughly 13+ mile obstacle race in under 3 hours, but we're running for a bigger cause. Our father passed away from Non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma in June 2011 after a long fight and in his memory, our family created the Philip A. Turner Memorial Fund. The fund was created to support one New London or Norwich high school student each year who is involved in their school's Interact Club and is looking to pursue a college education towards business. Interact is the high school level of the Rotary Club, to which our father was very dedicated to and loved to be a part of. He fought hard and is a true "Tougher Mudder" than any of us. He gave his life for the betterment of his community, and we would like to show our support for him. I hope you agree that this is for a great cause. All donations made will go solely to the Philip A. Turner Memorial Fund at the Community Foundation of Eastern Connecticut in New London. Every donation counts!! Thank you!!
