Hello everyone! I would like to start off by stating how blessed and beyond grateful I am for this opportunity!
As many of you know, I am currently enrolled in the Orthotics & Prosthetics master's program at Loma Linda University. This upcoming August, I will be traveling to Guatemala to help provide prosthetic care to individuals in need who may not have access to these services.
I, along with 6 other students, will be working with ROMP (Range of Motion Project), a non-profit organization dedicated to providing prosthetic and orthotic care to underserved populations. I will need to raise the funds by August 15. These funds will help raise money for our airfare, transportation, lodging, meals, and necessary equipment for my trip.
Mission trips are something I wish to be highly involved with in my future career, so it would mean the world to me if you helped me begin my journey to help those in need with any donations or simply helping me spread the word.
THANK YOU ALL SO MUCH in advance for your time and your help!
I truly appreciate all of your support
Some information about ROMP:
ROMP is an international non-profit organization working to address the gap in access to prosthetic care for people with amputation in the Western Hemisphere. We provide high-quality prosthetic and orthotic care through our permanent clinical operations in Guatemala, Ecuador, and the United States. Working alongside our local staff, ROMP volunteers of all professional and educational backgrounds play a key role in accomplishing this mission year-round.
Enrollment is open to rehabilitation professionals including P&O practitioners, physical therapists, occupational therapists, physiatrists, and students of those professions as everyone works hand-in-hand with the local staff to provide integrated care to ROMP patients and exchange knowledge and techniques. In addition to these professionals, we welcome photographers, yoga therapists, motivational speakers, engineers, craftspeople, and interested individuals of all other professions to be crucial members of each program.
We invite you to enroll in a 2018 volunteer program today!
