As a New Yorker, I was at a loss for words after Hurricane Sandy. I never thought Hurricane could cause such damage in NY. I have been through Hurricanes in Florida and never in my lifetime thought it could happen in NY. But it did and it took days to hear how awful the storm really was for so many people. And when we hear the stories and when we did see the damage it was devastating.
Out of all the darkness there was a shinning light and her name was Sarah Hartman. She jumped into action and organized a hundreds of volunteers into action to help with the rebuilding of homes through out the areas that were hit the worst. From all of this an endurance team that allows participants to choose any event or even a few of the premier events like NYC Triathlon and raise money so more homes can be rebuilt.
I was asked to join the board of directors and as a proud member I will be raising money as I help to continue to fund the rebuilding efforts.
SO this weekend I will be participating in the St.Anthony's Triathlon and would like to ask you to please support me by making a donation today and make new memories and give hope to these families.
