Hello! I am fundraising for Partners in Health through the Partners in Health Engage team at Vanderbilt. Partners in Health is an organization that brings sustainable health systems to some of the most impoverished and disadvantaged people on Earth. They do an amazing job standing in solidarity with their patients and always prioritize the right to health of the poor over everything else.
The money from this fundraiser will go to Pleebo Health Center in Liberia. One of the main goals for this health center is to eradicate preventable maternal and child deaths in the area. Partner's in Health has already made huge improvements to the health center, but more funding is urgently needed. They are currently serving a population 100,000 over capacity and much of PIH's funding has been diverted to Haiti due to Hurricane Matthew. The money from this fundraiser, and your donation, really is critical for PIH to be able to deliver life-saving treatment to the people of Liberia.
Joining Engage at Vanderbilt has been the best decision I've made at college so far. I really believe in the work Partners in Health is doing, and hopefully you can see why I think it is so important. I would very much appreciate any donation you could make. If you have any questions or would like to learn more, here is PIH's maternal and child health page, and also feel free to reach out to me (since I've most likely already bothered you with a call/email if you have arrived at this page).
*NOTE* It is not required that you give 10% extra to Crowdrise. You can select $0 extra. (If this makes sense to you, you must have clicked on the DONATE button, so thank you so much).
