BENEFITING: Friends of the Hendersonville Arts Council
EVENT DATE: Oct 17, 2015
The Friends of the Hendersonville Arts Council increases opportunity through the arts, and engages the community by creating, educating, and promoting the arts. We take to heart the 2010 IBM Survey of CEO's conclusion that "Creativity is the most important leadership competency for the future."
As an Art Gallery and Sumner County's #1 Arts After School program, we are creating a community event to raise awareness about Breast Cancer, which affects us directly with multiple board members currently going through treatment. This will be an outdoor festival styled event, taking place on the lawn of a 200 year old historic mansion. Inside the mansion, special attention given to women in treatment with professional massages, adult beverages, and engaging lectures. Outside, the community will be engaged by producing a mural, receiving professional face painting and henna tattoos, creating in crafting stations, observing live body art, art installations, and music performances from some of the best Nashville has to offer.
We are seeking donations to help pay for the mural supplies, staging and sound for musicians, the musician guarantees, educational speakers and massages for the women.
