I was only 20 when I had my daughter, Piper Lauren Harmon on October 26th, 2011. Her father was a Marine who abandoned us as soon as he found out I was pregnant. I've been doing the best I can to provide for my little girl. When she was only 3 days old, she was taken to the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia, where she was diagnosed with a rare Urea Cycle Defect called Citrullinemia. Piper's body cannot break downn proteins right so ammonia builds up in her body causing brain damage. After 9 weeks, she was sent home for the first time since birth. She was only home for 3 weeks when things took a turn for the worst. She was life-flighted back to Philly. Now I am told that she is not leaving the hospital until she has a Liver Transplant. My little girl is smaller than most infants they transplant. I'm just hoping to raise some money to help pay some of the medical bills. Even with two insurances, I still have bills I have to pay. Thank you so much!
