Dear Gifted Center Family,
Your child would like to participate in the Trick-or-Treat for UNICEF project. The project includes asking for dontaions for UNICEF during Trick-o-Treating.
Since 1946, UNICEF has provided aid for children around the world. (http://www.unicef.org) The Tuesday members of the Pittsburgh Gifted Center’s Gifted Gives: Community Volunteerism Club have decided that this will be their first charitable project. The members wrote a proposal, created a school-wide announcement, and delivered the lables to each classroom on Tuesday, explaining the how and why of the project. They will also work to sort and count the donations recieved at the Gifted Center.
If you allow your child to participate in this project, you have several options.
1.) To collect dontaions while Trick-or-Treating, your child would need to attach the Trick-or-Treat for UNICEF label to a container of your choice. While Trick-or-Treating, your child can ask for donations for UNICEF. Donations need to be turned into the Pittsburgh Gifted Center’s main office upon arrival on your child’s regularly scheduled PGC day. If possible, pre-counting the donations and either rolling them in bank rolls or making a check out to the Pittsburgh Gifted Center with a memo line stating, PGC UNICEF PROJECT, would be greatly helpful.
2) If you would like to make a donation, you may do so on this page. (We do not need any verification if/when you complete this transation.)
Thank you for helping to make a difference and for supporting our young humanitarians!
